Dr. Dan Morlan
ND | Naturopathic Medicine Associate
As a Midwest native, I come from the Chicagoland Area and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my clinical practice. I was first introduced to natural healing by a local herbalist, while completing my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Aurora University. I began making connections of the use of medicinal herbs in traditional medicine. My passion compelled me to pursue an approach to medicine that considered the patient as a whole, in addition to the patient’s complaint. It was my family doctor that suggested that I pursue a naturopathic medical education.
I completed my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at Bastyr University. Through the academic rigors of medical school, I developed a thorough understanding of medicine coupled with an appreciation of the design and function of the human body. This understanding and appreciation continues to help me help others. During my years of clinical practice, I have had the opportunity to learn about hyperbaric oxygen therapy and operate a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. In addition, I am endorsed by the State of Washington to practice nutritional IV therapy. I hold certificates for training in Advanced IV Therapy, cranial sacral therapy and from the International Center for Cannabinoid Therapy (ICCT).
I have developed strong interests in homeopathy, diet/nutrition and digestion, herbal medicine and nutritional IV therapy. I employ these methods, in my practice of medicine, to help patients with hormonal imbalance, digestive complaints, mental health complaints, including schizophrenia, chronic fatigue/fibromyalgia and other acute and chronic illnesses. My approach to medicine is to partner with my patients and, together, reach their health goals.
In my leisure time, I am often composing music, reading about the latest clinical research and developments in nutrition, health, biochemistry and history, spending time with my lady and the kids and running trails in Western Washington.
